We have used CCP a lot in 2023 with two trips to France. Initially it looked very good and the way forward with Aires in France. The last incident gives us no confidence in them. We spent 3 nights at Seyssel. The last two nights the barrier was open and obviously broken. As the barrier was open we drove out and didn't use our card. We booked Camping de Mon village Auberive. On arrival at 7pm we were unable to get in the barrier wouldn't lift. We phoned CCP but no answer. There was something on our account about Seyssel owing money. Obviously the system thought we were still there and blocked us out of Auberive. I then charged my card so as to pay again for Auberive but still locked out. I also tried to pay for Seyssel(which we didn't owe anything) in the hope it's would clear the system but still no joy. CCP had left us high and dry. It was just luck we had filled up the water before leaving. As there were no other Aires in the area at a reasonable distance we decided to stay on the motorway. They owe us €40 and a hell of a lot of inconvenience. We are going home in 3 days and won't be using them again we will use local Aires. It is obvious CCP buy up old municipals and local Aires. Then chuck in a service point and entry barrier then have no further interest in it. Seyssel a prime example. My advice would be to stay away from these cowboys.UPDATE.My partner managed to get through on the phone this morning. The agent told her the reason she couldn't get through the previous evening was because she has an English phone. So the English phone I am talking to you now was the problem? The agent continued to be beligerant and wouldn't accept any responsibility. When she realised she wasn't getting anywhere with my partner she started the hello, hello tactic pretending to not be able to hear my partner. Must be the English phone again? My partner then terminated the call. When we return to the UK I will send a letter of complaint requesting refund of the charges we don't owe and cancel our membership.UPDATEWe just get emails apologising for their poor customer service after reading our reviews but no explanation of how they are going to approve things if at all. Just seems they couldn't care less.UPDATE.I've had this reply 18 months after the incident and still no detail explaining how you are going to improve things.
