I quit my job January 2022 to start my own business. I tried hard but kept hitting roadblocks. The banks were not helping and every business centre seemed inexperienced. I asked questions and kept getting nowhere. In March, I joined CanadaStartups.org and right from the start it was different. The expert that was mine contacted me and noted down all of my goals and my plans. They answered all of my questions. Including industry specific ones to my surprise. The experts make recommendations to apply to certain funding programs offered by the government. I was a bit nervouse to do so as I didn't want any debt, but they really showed me the ropes.I joined at the end of March, applied to 2 programs offered by the government by summer time. I didn't hear anything back till now (November 10th) that I was approved. I amon a trip but had to make sure that I share my experiences and thank the team.
