I ordered an air conditioning unit using Worten Canarias Online. On arrival, I realised that I had ordered the wrong item. Worten informed me that it was not possible to return it because it is not in their Terms and Conditions to allow the return of air conditioners and other large items.This is totally illegal, as all customers have a statutory right to return unopened items within 14 days of delivery.To finally succeed in my claim, I had to use La Organización de Consumidores y Usuarios (OCU). This whole process took about 6 weeks to resolve and even after they came to collect the item, I had to push them again to actually make the refund.I don't recommend purchasing anything from Worten. In addition, their post-sales customer service is awful. There is no phone number to call, it is impossible to talk to a human, there are rather vague web page form submissions you can fill in, but it seems hit and miss as to whether they will reply.If you go into one of their shops to try to resolve a situation like this, they tell you that their online services and their physical stores are totally separate from each other and that it is not their problem.Probably one of the worst retail experiences of my life.
