They carried out my aunties PIP assessment in April of this year even though she lives in the south of the UK.The woman who asked the questions was recorded and two support workers were present on my aunties side.The assessor was asked if she had any medical training specifically for understanding Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and she hesitated and stumbled over her words and said that she had done part of a short course some years ago to become a mental health nurse.Then in total she asked my auntie five questions and the rest of the time she was asking my aunty why she didn't have any hobbies, go on holiday or generally get out of the house more in the context that she was suggesting my auntie had depression or melancholy and that somehow by doing this my aunty wouldn't have chronic OCD and stress and anxiety and almost as if she wasn't willing to except that my aunty has OCD and she avoided engaging over my aunties OCD symptoms.She then wrote a 23 page report somehow on how according to her my aunty is out on bike rides and eating three square meals a day and going swimming.When in actual fact my aunties home has been neglected by her landlord and destroyed during a decant forcing my aunty to live in a tiny space in her lounge with no room to lay down and sleep. There is no way of cooking three square meals because she is surrounded by boxes containing 25 years of belongs because the lounge and bedroom were used as storage space and locks placed on the doors so that her landlords could come in for a month to put her home right and she was moved out during mental health crisis after long term landlord harassment for reporting disrepair. And that is why she is pro-dominantly reclusive and they returned her to the property having deliberately trashed it and knowing it was inhabitable with leaks and no working boiler still after more than a decade.She has been in the lounge 7 months now and only leaves the house to go across the road to buy antibacterial wipes and baby wipes and what ever she can find to eat in a home bargains store.She has been forced to go to the nearest gym which is local to her and take out a swim membership so that she can shower once in a while but not often enough because of her OCD being contamination OCD and triggered by going into a public changing room with an untold amount of bin bags and wipes and she can not get in anybody's car anymore and hasn't been able to travel on public transport for years. Winter is coming and she won't go out at all because it is a big day for her on the day she has to get everything together in a non contaminated bag and take bags for contaminated things. She has chronic mental and physical fatigue and struggles and has been getting worse over many years and found claiming benefits near on impossible because of the fear and "what is" every time she was asked a question on the form. But it had to be done because she's declining. It had to be done because she won't improve with her landlords and soon she will stop going to shower and the shop. When we were contacted by her a year ago she was exstreamly unwell and going through things alone and seeing us helped her to start getting in our car and coming for dinner. And then she would go home and either shower off contamination in a freezing cold shower or sleep on the lounge floor rather than contaminat her bed. And her social landlords were causing this through hands on harassment day in day out.Now she is in a worse situation and is absolutely not gallivanting around on a bike, swimming in a contaminated public pool or eating meals. She is suffering from sleep deprivation and dehydrated and uses a toilet less because that requires her to walk all the way around the outside of the property and go in to use the toilet in a filthy house whilst still being harassed and the toilet doesn't even flush and at night she would fall in the dark. And we haven't seen her all summer because she can't come in our house because of her OCD, she can't have people shop for her because of her OCD. We can't even do her washing for her so she's been wearing the same clothes since 7 months ago.This was discussed during her assessment which took 20 minutes and five questions off the assessment sheet when at least one question contains 8 questions that were not asked.Five questions not relevant to her conditions and some how a 23 page report was written all lies. And my aunty declined PIP and mobility allowance because apparently she's swimming, going on bike rides and eating three meals a day.I really hope the assessor wasn't medically trained because she is going to be struck off.
