I ordered the softer belt because I just needed it as a belt, not a gear carrier, but it was VERY stiff when it arrived. It took me a couple of days of wearing the belt in different orientations and small adjustments to get it just the way I wanted it, but now it is perfection!The buying process was wonderful, it actually arrived before I expected it, during the busy holiday rush time.
