I was nervous to try this site because of negative reviews from some other review sites, but I'm glad I decided to do it. My experience with Card Cookie has been very smooth. Maybe Card Cookie read the negative feedback and worked on improving the experience.They did not ask me for my driver's license or any identification, which some reviewers mentioned. I had to do just these 2 verification steps (and I only had to do them the first time I purchased from Card Cookie, after that subsequent purchases are instantly received). 1) Enter my phone number and then enter the verification code that they texted to my phone. 2) The next day, I received an email telling me to check my credit card statement and look at the description/name of the transaction that purchased the gift cards. Basically, on your credit card's online portal where you look at your recent/pending transactions, look for the transaction that corresponds to the purchase from Card Cookie, and the description/name of the transaction should say "CARDCOOKIExx" (except the xx will be a 2-digit number). Simply enter the 2-digit number to complete the verification step. Some of the reviewers were clearly confused, because they said they called their bank to ask about a code on their credit card statement. Of course the bank won't have any idea what you're talking about! The code isn't some special thing that the bank knows about, the code is just simply the 2-digit number that appears in the description/name of the Card Cookie transaction.I also did not experience any problems with the gift card amounts themselves. I've purchased 5 Home Depot gift cards from Card Cookie, and all of them were accepted by the vendor with no problems and had exactly the amounts that I expected on them.I will be buying from Card Cookie again in the future. They saved me a good amount of money on a big purchase I made. I only wish they had more stores/vendors for which they have gift cards available, but I guess that's not really up to them, since they rely on other people who want to sell their gift cards.
