I bought a tweed hat for a friend in the O'Connell Bridge store about 4 weeks ago. The tills were acting up so wasn't issued with a receipt. His head is bigger and returned the hat to exchange it for the exact same item in a larger size. I was referred to the totally unhelpful Maura who explained that I couldn't get a refund without a receipt. I explained that I wasn't issued with a receipt, and didn't want a refund - just to change the size. She delayed me about 40 minutes while she said she was looking through the transactions for my hat (seriously?).In the end she wouldn't exchange the item. We used buy gifts here regularly for family and friends. NEVER AGAIN!
