⭐ 1 star – Serious concerns, would not recommendI’m posting this after seeing a close friend go through an extremely stressful and expensive ordeal after buying a car from Cars Under 3000.Within just four months, the car suffered a major timing chain and camshaft failure, resulting in a £3,000+ repair bill. This came after my friend was clearly told at the point of sale that the car was well serviced and that the timing chain would last the lifetime of the vehicle.The warranty that was sold alongside the car was practically useless. It was the lowest level of cover, poorly explained, and offered no real protection when a serious engine fault occurred. My friend was left entirely out of pocket.What really raises alarm bells is how things were handled afterwards. When my friend asked for proof of the pre-sale service, the documentation provided did not look credible. The “service invoice” had no mileage recorded, appeared to be a generic template, and was created and emailed within minutes of being requested. From an outside perspective, this does not look like genuine service history and seriously damages trust.On top of this, my friend was told that consumer rights are a “grey area”, which is simply incorrect and deeply concerning to hear from a car dealer.Watching this unfold has made it very clear that when something goes wrong, this business does not take responsibility and instead appears to deflect, minimise, and dispute rather than help.Based on what I’ve seen, I would strongly advise people to avoid Cars Under 3000 unless they are prepared for potential major costs and a battle afterwards.
