I used Carwow to sell my vehicle and my experience has been extremely disappointing due to the conduct of one of their partner dealers, Ilyas Cars Limited (Mina Yusefzai).
My car was successfully sold at auction on 27th March and I completed all required steps, including submitting my documents which were approved. After that point, everything broke down.
The dealer completely stopped communicating regarding collection of the vehicle. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, I received no response. I understand Carwow also attempted to reach them without success. This has left the entire transaction in limbo and caused significant frustration and wasted time.
At this stage, I no longer want the vehicle collected and will make alternative arrangements to sell it elsewhere. However, the main issue is the lack of accountability and communication from a partner operating on Carwow’s platform.
I am also seriously concerned about data protection. I was required to submit personal identification documents as part of the process, yet there has been no communication or reassurance about how this data is being handled or protected by the dealer.
As a customer, I followed the process correctly, provided everything promptly, and acted in good faith. In return, I have been left with no clear resolution and no proper communication.
Overall, this experience has significantly damaged my trust in the platform and its partner vetting process. I would strongly urge Carwow to review the reliability of their partner dealers to prevent other customers being placed in the same situation.
