Sold a car via Carwow in December 2021.
The dealership saw detailed pics and had access to all the maintenance records.
They agreed to pay off the finance before viewing or collecting the car.
A week later they came to collect the cat, a C43 amg, and immediately the agent starter finding faults with the car, despite it being on very good condition and only 2 years old. It was as per the detailed pics uploaded to car which were all recent pics.
They said they will offer £4500 less or I have to pay them back the fill amount of the finance on the spot! This obviously left me in a difficult situation so I had to accept the vastly reduced trade in price .
I would never sell my car via Car wow again and certainly never accept a payment even from a dealer before they viewed the car.
This tactic cost me a lot of money and I had no other choice, there is no way I could get circa £40,000+ paid to them to cancel the deal !
