Not what I signed up for

I purchased a sweater from Comoboca about a year ago, and I was very pleased with both the purchase experience and the sweater itself. And if I had reviewed the company in 2024, I would have given them 5 stars. In fact, I did just that on another review site.But things have changed. I placed a second order last week, and when I tried to get shipping information, I was routed through the Shopify.com website. I made the purchase directly through Comoboca, and I don't want to use Shopify, but this is the only way to get a shipping update - and I have to download the Shopify app to get these updates. Thanks, but no thanks.The purchase I made in 2024 arrived in just a few days - which is one of the reasons I put Comoboca on my short list for online shopping - but now they are saying my order hasn't even been processed yet, and once it is processed, it will take over 2 more weeks to arrive. They are blaming Trump's new tariffs for the delays. I just wanted to buy a couple of sweaters, not sign up for their third-party services or get involved in their political grievances over tariffs. I have already paid for the sweaters, so I guess I will just have to wait until they get around to shipping them. But I very much doubt I will be doing business with Comoboca again.UPDATE 9/23/25: I did eventually receive my sweaters, but the order was not even processed for over 2 weeks. And when the sweaters finally did arrive, they came from Kentucky. So much for the tariff excuse...And thanks to Comoboca sharing my information with Shopify without my knowledge or consent, I am now receiving spam emails from them. Gee, thanks...These folks may have nice merchandize, but their business practices are about as sleazy as it gets.
