This is a genuine review of CBD Movers Wellington which has offices all over NZ and Australia. First they got the wrong day!Then got the wrong address. True!Quoted $65 callout, $130 per hour, $30 extra for approx 20 stairs (to access property). Just moving one single item across Wellington - a 15 minute drive.When they got to the delivery location, the mover guy wanted to charge $90 for a few more stairs and $100 more for a short path with one bend in it (maybe 20 metres). The extra pricing made no sense given it was $30 for 20 steps. The stairs were brand new and had just been built so we did not know exact number of steps but did not expect an unreasonable price hike.Mover guy was a third party (CBD outsourced the job by the way) who made me ring head office to discuss the extra $190.HQ kept me on hold for 30 minutes.Then the mover guy wanted to charge me more than the hour even though for 30 minutes I was on hold.In the end, we moved the item down the path and extra steps ourselves.The mover guy was rude, transactional and used stand-over tactics. They even dropped the item at one point.Would not recommend or use CBD Movers in Wellington again.They absolutely have my records despite the flippant comment from CBD Movers below. My booking reference was 6904886 and I will upload an image to prove it.
