Review Time
All was done well in Cyprus, our stuff was collected within short time, very well wrapped on pallets. The arrival in Italy after almost 4 weeks was a bit wowh! The pallets where shipped with a Saudi Arabian Ship to a little harbour in Greece, from there packed on a truck to the ferry to Bari. First communication with the Greek company was: "Can you come to Bari and collect?" We paid for kerbside house!! Later they asked us if we have a forklift and landing bay. But didn´t they know that this was household goods and not a company? We told them that we live in a remote region and streets are not wide enough for a 40 to truck - this was ongoing for 1,5 weeks! But they didn´t want to listen and read! So they came with a truck for international dimension and trailer. The driver neither spoke English nor Italian. So the communication was through the Greek company. He also was not able to feed the GPS with the right address and was waiting in another village. When he arrived 500 m outside our village he was not able to send location, so my husband and son where looking for the truck on 5 different roads. He couldn´t enter the village and all our boxes and crates landed in the field, because he had to open the shrink wrap in lack of a forklift or anything. Lucky my son´s Italian is native and he could organize "Gino di mulino" who arrived with a bigger Ape and they brought everything to our house, with my son lying on the boxes like a spider to prevent them from falling of the vehicle. I had 11 hours of video conferences programmed for that day and couldn´t help with that ongoing disaster from 3 pm to 9 pm, because the guy from the mill could only come after 8 pm to collect the stuff. Everything arrived, but could have gone smoother when maybe not using the cheapest way to ship?? There are also vessels going to Bari or Brindisi directly and an Italian shipping company wouldn´t have been so chaotic! CCS didn´t contact us anymore to ask if everything went well, because they were also contacted on that day of arrival - which I find a bit lazy or just not interested??
Would like to say a big thank you to Andria and the rest of the team at Cyprus container shipping with all there help over the past few weeks with organizing the move for my parents. From the beginning to the end they were so helpful and polite and on time. Would recommend this company 100 percent.
We had an absolutely terrible experience with this removal company. They didn't even come close to fulfilling their contractual obligations. First of all, they didn't allocate enough time to move an entire house, along with two additional furniture pickups and furniture assembly. Unsurprisingly, the unrealistic timeframe set them up for failure from the start.To make matters worse, they didn't even complete the job agreed. They left halfway through the move. They also left half of our belongings at the old place, completely missed one of the extra pickups, and didn't bother to assemble the furniture as agreed upon, not only failing to finish the job but also leaving us without a bed to sleep on that night.Communication was equally abysmal. They failed to inform us that they wouldn't be returning the next day to finish the job as we expected. When we followed up several times they said we will get back to you, then they had the audacity to demand more money to complete the work they were contractually obligated to do.I wouldn't wish this nightmare of a moving experience on my worst enemy. Stay far away from this unprofessional and unreliable company. One star is far too generous.
I am very pleased with the whole operation ( uk to Paphos ) from start to finish The Staff at CCS office are very helpful keeping me updated on my goods.Just taken delivery of my boxes the 2 guys Trevor & Luke are great really chatty and friendly nothing was too much trouble for them . I would always recommend CCS
I am Very disappointed with this company. I left my Classic car with them to store safely for me while I was out of the country. After 2 months they moved it to another warehouse that was occupied by a completely different company (marry me Cyprus) and they left it outside, after all they had no responsibility for it’s safe keeping. The car is a convertible, it rained and the roof leaked causing damage to the cars interior. Cyprus Container shipping never told me they were moving it. I left Andrea with clear instructions on who to contact if they ever needed to move the car, but she chose to ignore them and moved it herself. I fully suspect the car was driven over to the new warehouse. initially Andrea was very friendly, but her attitude changed completely once she realised she had been caught out. She became very abrupt with her messages and gave only the most basic detail of the cars location when I went to collect it. “It’s in the second unit on the left past the scrapyard”. The only reason I was able to find my car was from the vehicle tracker I had installed on it. (Something which Andrea was clearly unaware of). If you leave your positions with this company for safe keeping they could be left anywhere. It should have been clear to me when Andrea said “well we have the car” meaning she could do what she wanted with it whilst in her possession. I’m 100% certain that if Cyprus Container Shipping had gone out of business I would never have seen my car again. I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from this company and will never be trusting them ever again. Don’t be fooled by Andreas friendly attitude in the beginning. The safekeeping of your property is the least of her concern.
We have just moved permanently to Cyprus and for this process used CCS. The minefield that is moving abroad was made simple and understandable at every stage and on top of our worldly belongings arriving safely in Cyprus they transported our beloved cat Dennis.The service provided is 5 Star and we can’t thank Andrea and her team enough.
