I ordered a black dress for my mother's funeral. It looked very nice on their website. The name Celeste London suggests very strongly that the company at least has a warehouse or base in London. Their website clearly states in a large prominent font "hassle free returns". This could not be further from the truth. The dress arrived after 10 days. It did not resemble anything like the picture on their website. It was of poor quality material, no labels, care instructions and the front of the dress hung badly. I could not wear this. After my Mums funeral I set about trying to get a refund. " Hassle free refunds" I was confident that I would receive a prompt refund. No chance, I was first offered to keep the address and receive 20% off a future purchase. I said no and I wanted a full refund. I was then offered a further discount of 40% and keep the dress. I refused, they then said I had to ship the dress to their warehouse at my cost and that I had to have it tracked. The warehouse is in China and the cost of return was £20.70 - my dress cost £34.95! I said no the dress was not as described and therefore in accordance with the Consumer Credit Act I should received a full refund. They still insist that I have to return to China at my cost. What guarantee do I have that if I do this they will refund £14.20 let alone the full £34.95. Do not buy from this company. They should not be trading in the UK and disregarding our Consumer rights.
