My wife and I had a very unusual experience during a follow-up visit at the CenterWell clinic in Suwanee on February 16, 2026. My wife previously worked for many years in medical billing and medical office management, and I come from a business management background, so we are both familiar with how professional medical offices normally operate.During the appointment, the physician asked if it was okay to use a digital documentation tool to assist with recording the visit, which we agreed to. However, the encounter quickly shifted away from patient care when administrative staff entered the room and presented paperwork unrelated to the medical treatment being discussed. When I declined to sign the document and explained that I was documenting the interaction myself, the visit was abruptly ended before the planned bloodwork could be completed.Later, the visit summary included statements attributed to me that I do not believe accurately reflect what occurred during the appointment. Because of this, I have formally submitted a request to amend the medical record and requested copies of the documentation used to create the note. The clinic environment initially presents itself as welcoming and patient-friendly, but our experience left us questioning whether the friendly atmosphere truly reflects how patient concerns are handled once issues arise. I hope the company takes a closer look at situations like this, because transparency, professionalism, and respect for patients should always come first—especially in clinics that serve seniors.
