Satisfactory Sleeve Gastrectomy

Thank you for giving me an opportunity to talk about my experience and provide details about my surgery. I traveled to Istanbul solo for the purpose of having a gastric sleeve performed. It was the first time having any type of surgery for me so naturally I was nervous. I would like to start by expressing how much I appreciate Dr. Sukru, for doing amazing work on me and for meeting me privately to discuss and consult about my situation. I would also like to thank Dr. Karahan and Dr. Sentatar for consulting and checking up on me in my room. All these doctors went above and beyond to address my medical issues relating to my excess weight. They followed up with me and prescribed medications that helped me recuperate post surgery.I would also like to thank Azadeh for helping translate and avoiding any misunderstandings that might have happened with any medical staff. Azadeh helped with picking me up from the airport, explaining how the procedure worked and any other questions I had relating to the surgery. She was friendly and respectful even had a meal with me the day before surgery. She visited me in my room and answered any questions I had after the procedure. Finally she helped the day I was released from the hospital with explaining how and when to take the medications and vitamin supplements. This was important for me because I was a little confused about how to eat and how to take medications after I left the hospital. Azadeh played an integral role in understanding what to do post surgery. Also I cannot thank the nurses enough for helping me so much…They played such an important role to my recovery I will never forget it. They worked tirelessly day and night taking my blood pressure and changing my IV regularly until I felt strong again. The hardest part of the surgery was days 1 to 3 and the nurses literally take care of you every minute and are there when you need something for 24 hours! All you have to do is push a button to alert them and they come in your room no matter what time it is! They would also let you know when their shift would change which was nice.I’d like to thank the rest of the hospital staff such as the sanitary workers and the person who brought me the food in my room. I liked the hospital it was well equipped and clean.In conclusion this was a very positive experience with an affordable price attached to it. I am very happy with the price I paid and the care I received while I stayed in the hospital. I would personally recommend anyone that is thinking about getting a gastric sleeve bypass to greatly improve the quality of your life and help you reduce your weight considerably!
