False misleading advertising - not to be trustedLiaised regarding a Cartier Santos watch. Advertised and described as Cartier serviced and polished. Went into the store, watch very clearly not polished at all with many visible scratches. Cartier service paperwork listed polish as offered with no itemised cost. Was obvious the polish was turned down and had not occurred with the service as was advertised. The sellers were clearly hoping buyer would come and not notice this and take it as is. Not good customer service or values. I'm not the type to leave a bad review without justification.Incredibly frustrating as just wasted an afternoon and watch not as advertised or described on the website or phone. Secondary: the Walthamstow store is a pawnbrokers and not befitting the website or buying experience of high value items, quite unpleasant. I would avoid.Update to vendor response: I know from first hand experience a Cartier watch service would be £300-£500 based on parts required and a polish would be £175 and ITIMISED, not listed as ‘offered’ without a cost. Which reflects a polish and its cost being declined within the service. A Cartier polished watch also would not be visibly scratched in many locations. For clarity I'm not disappointed with Cartiers work, I'm disappointed with YOUR positioning of the watch being polished by Cartier where a polish wasn't opted or paid for within the service as shown by the paperwork. The response, again, is highly misleading. Would still avoid.
