Charli’s wife drove us for the day and instantly made us feel welcome and relaxed, she was warm, professional, and clearly passionate about showing visitors the best of her country. We started early with a whale watching trip, and the whole experience felt smooth and well-organised from start to finish.Afterwards, she took us to see traditional stilt fishing, which was fascinating to witness up close, and then on to beautiful Galle where she shared lots of local knowledge and great recommendations. We also visited a moonstone mining area, which was something we would never have discovered on our own, such an interesting and unique experience.She was joined in the car by her partner, and together they made the journey even more enjoyable. They were both incredibly friendly, informative, and happy to answer our many questions about Sri Lankan culture, history, and daily life. The conversations and laughs along the way made the whole day feel less like a tour and more like travelling with friends.What really stood out was the personal touch, nothing felt rushed, and they genuinely cared that we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves.
