A big thing that I learned from a class recently is that you don't just turn all the indicators on. You just use the ones that meet the needs of your particular trading strategy. And, you can add multiple instances of a particular indicator package and only turn on particular (and different) indicators in each instance and then you can quickly show then hide particular instances as needed to keep the chart clean.
