My experience at Hilton Heliopolis Cairo was really bad. Initially, they gave me a terrible room with very old furniture, broken walls, and no view at all except a wall just infront of my window. I struggled with the manager on duty to change the room because I felt I paid a lot and I didn’t find what I expected. Then, they changed the room to another one, but again it was too bad. As I booked for 6 nights I felt that I’m not able to stay more in this hotel and I decided to leave. I had a discussion with the manager on duty the following day, I told him I want to leave early, he was careless about my request, I can say he has zero experience in customer service and he was ready to loose a customer so easily. However, after I told him that I will provide a very negative feedback on the hotel and on the staff, he changed his way of dealing with me, and finally he provided me with a good room. So, why not from the beginning? Why I had to fight twice to get my right? But, while checking out, they forced me to pay extra charges and they said it’s related to currency exchange issues. I paid around 55 Canadian dollars extra than the amount I supposed to pay when I made my reservation on Cheapoair.
