I still remember the first time my husband and I visited Cheddars when it opened. It was a fantastic dining experience, and we kept going back because the food was consistently delicious. However, there came a time when we noticed a change in the taste and quality of the food. We decided to take a break from dining there.Fast forward to June 14, 2024, we decided to give Cheddars another chance as we had gift cards to use. When we arrived, the staff were friendly, and the person who seated us was quite amiable. However, when he directed us to our table, it felt like he was leading us outside, close to the exit door. It was a bit funny but bewildering at the same time.We ordered spinach dip, which arrived cold, and the accompanying salsa seemed store-bought. This was a stark contrast to our initial experiences, where everything tasted fresh. We mentioned our concerns to the waitress, and she explained that the chips were cooked daily and stored in a bin. I opted for the pecan chicken salad, which I had enjoyed previously, but this time, the ranch dressing tasted watery, and the pecans were so hard that I worried about breaking a tooth.My husband's flavored peach tea was disappointing, especially given its cost, and the fried shrimp he ordered had a hard batter, forcing him to remove it before eating the shrimp. Overall, we left the restaurant feeling extremely disappointed with our dining experience and the amount of money we had spent. This visit left us feeling like we wouldn't be returning to the Little Rock location.We hope Cheddars takes customer feedback seriously and values the support of its loyal patrons.
