My experience taking the PMP bootcamp through Cheetah learning was a very positive one. This 4 day crash course in project management exam preparation class prepared me for the PMP exam. I'm not going to lie, it was tough! But I was able to take in the information using Cheetahs learning style and apply what I learned to pass the exam the very next day. I highly recommend Cheetah learning to anyone wanting to obtain their PMP certification.
The PMP prep course is amazing--brutal but amazing! I was skeptical at first of the total immersion into the course, including food and beverages, stretching, meditation, and homework assignments. It requires buying into a view of performance that is very holistic, and the results speak for themselves. I passed the exam on my first try--super cool!
Cheetah Learning definitely helped me succeed in getting my PMP credential. There were some technical difficulties with the actual PMP testing site and because I had attended the Cheetah Class, I was aware that I needed to appeal what occurred. Despite numerous computer crashes during testing, I was able to achieve my certification. The frequent testing in the course was very helpful for retaining what I learned and studying for the actual exam.
From the initial start of the training, my exam results indicated that I was at risk of failing the certification exam. I continued to follow the bootcamp guidance during the week. I believe that if I would have scheduled the exam 2-3 weeks after the training, this would have allowed me to focus on weak areas and improve my chances, but was strongly encouraged by the program to take 1-2 days following the bootcamp.
This course was imperative to my success for obtaining my PMP. I have real test anxiety that is almost paralyzing. This course gave me tools to help overcome that. It also provides great supplemental material from the PMBOK 6 which I found was extremely valuable especially considering how boring and repetitive the PMBOK guide was. The instructor really made the virtual experience feel like it might as well have been face to face. I ended up passing the exam above target at 3.5 hours.:)
