Should have realised when I was able to book a table for 19.00 at 18.30 when the Cheltenham Lit Fest was on!! Tasteless ‘British’ food prepared by, I assume, the previous Indian owners of the gaff. My pork loin wasn’t, and was so dry I need another glass of wine to get it down. My wife’s confit duck leg was ok - you can’t overcook a confit duck leg without significant effort, but the ‘jus’ was poor gravy and the same as I had with my pork!! The roasted veg just weren’t - they’d never seen an oven. Should have gone to the booths in the Lit Fest - my crepe was delightful and a pulled pork bap would have had more taste than what I was served at the brasserie. Beware - if it’s bland tasteless food you want, this is the place! I did mention this to a waiter, but he seemed uninterested and didn’t ask further.
