I was taken out to this restaurant by my other half as she wanted to treat me and her niece to a nice meal after going Ice Skating at the Park.On arrival the place wasn't busy (as around Xmas so still some Lockdown restrictions) the staff were helpful and sat us down took the orders, an so on... When the starters came which was bread, butter, olives and I take a bite of the bread with butter I realise that the flavour is not right, ask the others to try it and they also think there's something wrong. Straight away I realised that the Butter was off as beside the taste it smelt. After calling the waiter and ask him to smell the butter he straight away realised that the butter was off he appologised took it and went on to throw away all the butter they had available (guessing it was all off).I do understand that things can go off and butter is one of them, my concern with this Restaurant is that beside the point that we were left without anything to go with the bread and olives they still charged for it!!! My partner didn't want to make a fuss at the time but I truly feel it is not acceptable to charge for something that was off.We will never set foot in that Restaurant specially as the Ivy is less then 100m away, similar pricing and better food
