The Chesney/Salisbury 5 fitters were excellent; fitting the woodburner in an old terraced house wasn’t easy, or clean! They deserve a 5* rating. However, the stove itself, although it LOOKS GOOD, doesn’t give off the expected heat. The heat doesn’t convect as we expected and only warms the, (black slate) hearth area! The company who sold this, (for over 4K), say buying a 4 blade fan would help the heat to flow around the room. A plumber we know owns a woodburning stove, but not the same model, who has said his stove has VENTS which can be slid open, and his model radiates fantastic heat. Using central heating to top up, as the Chesney /Salisbury fire heat output is disappointing. Wish I had researched different models first and not just relied on sales from a local retailer. Any Advice please?
