They offered us an insulting partial refund ($28 on a $111 purchase), as if that would somehow make up for receiving knockoff junk that wouldn’t pass muster at a flea market.But the real comedy (and tragedy) came in the form of the time suck that followed. We went through weeks of back-and-forth, uploading evidence, tracking shipping, writing statements—enough effort to qualify for a law school externship. At one point, we were practically begging PayPal to get involved.And PayPal? Initially, they sided with the seller. Why? Because apparently the item "matched the description", which only makes sense if the listing described it as "shiny, unwearable garbage made to disappoint."Thankfully, after escalating the issue and spending more time arguing than it took to file our taxes, PayPal finally saw the light. We received a $100 voucher, which helped offset the financial hit.
