CIBC is the worst bank in the world. Although the branch I dealt with was friendly and polite how they treated me as an overall company was dishonest, time wasting and unprofessional. They treated me there customers like criminals, while filling you with lies. I had my account blocked preventing me from doing my business. 1st lie was it will just be for 24-48 hours. They didn’t call back as requested. Lie #2. I called them for lie #3 which was we will lift the block once I send in what they requested through email. I obliged sending my receipts for e-transfers I received and the work I completed. All was good. They again didn’t return a call. Lee from the fraud department is a complete hack and has no clue what’s she’s doing, as I did nothing wrong but got blocked by her. I called again in which I was told 10 business days to investigate. I’ve already sent my receipts. Which prove me innocent of any of my claims. But again no contact lie#4 as I was told I would be contacted by Lee herself. At this point I’ve spoken to her once and she failed to return my calls. I called again to be told my services have been terminated and a letter was sent in the mail. They would not state for what reason. Which there isn’t a reason as I literally have done nothing wrong. My lawyer has been notified and he is certain that I’ll be filing a lawsuit as the way I’ve been treated is illegal and baseless. They make decisions regarding your services you pay for based on nothing. I strongly suggest banking online with modern technology companies like koho and wealth simple as cibc has proven to be nothing but dishonest.
