Discrimination Encounter

What a truly dreadful experience! My spouse and I finally had a rare night out, planning to see a new movie. We brought my service animal, and the manager claimed he growled at the staff (which he did not; I was petting him while he was notifying me about my blood sugar). The so-called 'manager' approached us, threatening to call the authorities if my dog growled again, not even allowing me to clarify how my dog communicates my health status. After leaving the theater, I attempted to explain the situation to him and another manager. Throughout this, my service animal remained calmly by my side. The 'manager' accused my dog of being aggressive in front of the other manager, and when I confronted him about it, he denied making that claim while the other manager appeared visibly frustrated. He interrupted me, lied about the incident, and even accused me of being aggressive. When I asked for his name, he refused to provide it, feeling I didn't deserve to know. This was the absolute worst experience! The manager was a short male with bleached blond hair, his shirt untucked, clearly on a power trip. I wish I had his name to report to corporate about his discriminatory behavior towards individuals with disabilities. Even the server I spoke to disagreed with the manager's assessment of aggression. It was humiliating for my wife, prompting us to leave. I feel compelled to advocate for those who are disabled and marginalized, as many lack a voice. I'm posting this review in hopes of a response from the company since he wouldn't share his name and no one answers the phone. My next step is to report him and the business for discrimination. It's disheartening knowing this is the only theater nearby where we felt comfortable taking our children with disabilities. They suggested we seek a refund through another service, but since the show had already started, we were denied. I'm heartbroken that people would be treated in this manner.
