I rented a double-door refrigerator from City Furnish, delivered on 10 December 2025, and paid three months’ advance rent. I followed the delivery team’s instructions and switched the fridge on after the advised waiting time. Within 30 minutes, milk started leaking inside the fridge, and when I opened it, smoke came out with a strong burning smell. It was genuinely unsafe to keep the appliance running.What made the situation worse was the support experience. I tried calling customer care multiple times, waited over 15 minutes on calls, but the calls went blank. WhatsApp messages were not answered, and the delivery person also did not respond.After several follow-ups, I was informed that the pickup would be scheduled in 7–10 working days, which is unreasonable for a product that showed safety issues on day one. I am still waiting for a clear commitment on expedited pickup and a full refund.Based on my experience, product quality checks and customer support need serious improvement. I would strongly suggest others inspect rented appliances immediately and be cautious with advance payments.
