I have traveled with several tour operators and I would rate Classic as one of the top. My criteria: Small group, interesting itinerary, knowledgeable guides and an overall positive and upbeat vibe giving everyone equal attention, authentic hotels providing modern amenities, if possible. Also, importantly, good local connections. Classic hit all of these. Highlights of itinerary: 1. meeting Julio and learning about his business 2. Cigar tour 3. Hemmingway's house 4. Jazz Festival 5. Discussion with Camillo(?) professor 6. Coffee tour 6.Salsa lesson 7.Photographer8. Cooking class with jazz accompaniment Of special note was our Hemingway House guide and our guide leading the walk on the trail thru the forest/coffee area. Not so thrilled with: guide at Cienfuegos, walk to sugar plantation, horse ride to Trinidad PlazaAudrey and Marta were exceptional tho Marta could sometimes be rushed/abrupt. Audrey has an amazing can do attitude, very calm, explains things well, engaging, really one of the best tour leaders I have ever had, that includes those with B&R and A&KThings to improve: communication on airport arrival and visa's. Consider arranging transportation from airport to hotels. The last day of the trip doesn't work well because of airport/flight times. Perhaps an additional day in Havana with an evening at the Tropicana would be better?Having another discussion with Camillo, delving further into the history of Cuba would be worthwhile.Of special note, young Jonathan. He is worth mentoring and bringing into the fold. And, the exceptional drivers, all of them!Thank you for a fascinating trip!
