There should be some transparency at the outset of using the card, to explain that the €1.90 per month ...."maintenance fee"... applies after 12 months of activation, many people with under a fiver left on their card will forgo this as it's unlikely that a grocery shop will be covered by such a small amount....at least send a reminder to the app with 1 month to go before irritating/unnecessary charges apply.
