We had placed an order for a bed, Bedside table, dresser and other things through Canberra Store. The bed is the Savoy 4 poster bed. The sales girl who was serving us, was not sure whether the bed can be dismantled fully. We explained to he that out bedroom is on the first floor and we won't be able to take it upstairs without dismantling. She went and spoke to her manager for the day and we were reassured that it can be definitely dismantled.We paid 15K for everything and placed an order.However when the delivery person comes, he tells us that it cannot be dismantled and no way he can get it to the first floor without damaging the walls. We spoke to the store manager on the day and sent everything back.I called the store to check whats the next step. She informed me that they will arrange a refund but deduct 20% of the payments as per their policy.I tried to explain her that we bought the bed only after we were reassured that it can be dismantled, which was clearly a wrong information given to us
