I don't even know where to start. First off, the proposal and agreed delivery date was set for two months, but due to constant issues with communication on their end, it was delayed an additional 5 months. We had a developer named George working with us. He had almost no form of communication whatsoever and that transitioned over to another developer named Oscar. Despite the setbacks and missing of the time frame by almost half a year, we were not offered any form of compensation and had Oscar in particular continually argue with us and repeatedly try to force us to use their servers despite us clearly and explicitly saying that we did not wish to be upsold or forced to do anything. Oscar repeatedly told us in phone calls that he claimed were recorded that we would not be able to have our finalized product without signing onto their service. Then, we requested changelog documentation so we could see if they were actively working on our project. Oscar refused to provide it and became even more combative in our communications. Finally, Peter, from an entirely different company called Digit Designs, took over our project and fostered decent communications. The problems didn't stop there. In our terms and proposal, we also had clauses for proper help in onboarding someone from our team to manage the website, which was not done. There were no instructions given even through email, a PDF, or a readme. We ended up having to request help from WordPress to parse the website and do any changes. Additionally, we had to deactivate some plugins because they were flagged by WordPress as non-genuine or pirated or they didn't have the serial keys they were supposed to have. Additionally, the entire structure of the website itself is a complete mess, where none of the editing is intuitive. There is no product page template, there is no template for a blog page, there is no template for a If we had documentation on the website, it would be better, but for now, we're slowly working through it and figuring out what the hell is going on with it.
