Unprofessional handling of deposit and disrespectful staff

I stayed with Colivys, and while the accommodation was fine, the handling of my security deposit was extremely poor and unprofessional.I moved out on June 3rd, and despite leaving the room and the common areas in clean condition, I had to chase them repeatedly for nearly two months. The deposit was only returned right before the legal deadline, and only after I followed up several times and stated I was ready to take legal action.One of their agents, falsely accused me of not cleaning the apartment. When I requested evidence, none was given. Only after I demanded proof and mentioned legal escalation did she quietly backtrack, without offering any apology for the false claim or her disrespectful tone.What’s more frustrating is that my first follow-up about the deposit was six weeks after move-out — hardly “early,” as their response later claimed. Being told it was still “under validation” just days before the deadline shows a clear lack of organization and accountability.Colivys, on another review, replied saying they acted within the legal timeframe, but that misses the point entirely. The issue wasn’t the number of days—it was the complete lack of professionalism, transparency, and respect shown throughout the process.Trying to blame delays on tenants following up is unacceptable, especially when my first inquiry came six weeks after moving out. Their process was clearly disorganized, and had I not pushed, I doubt I would have been refunded on time at all. (As it seems they have a long track record of not refunding deposits in time from multiple other reviews)I would not rent with Colivys again, and strongly advise others to be cautious, especially when it comes to recovering your deposit.AGAIN: Their reply is full of lies I’m not surprised I am extremely disappointed by the false and unprofessional response issued by Colivys. To clarify:I moved out on June 3rd, and my first follow-up about the deposit was six weeks later — hardly "early" or excessive.The room was left in clean condition, and I wasn’t present at the scheduled time for the check-out but I had given weeks of notice and spoke to multiple agents, due to their own lack of organisation they failed to communicate with each other (can’t be the client and also work admin for your guys). The claim that I wasn’t there completely shifts the blame rather than taking accountability, I communicated multiple times relaying the message to each other, that in fact is your job. At no point during my stay was I rude to staff, nor did I receive any formal complaints about my behavior. The agent’s claims are not only unfounded but were never mentioned until after I left, which is telling.The accusation that I said “it’s your job” to remove bedding is an outright fabrication.I never smoked inside the property. If any roommates made such accusations, I was never made aware, nor given the opportunity to respond to them during my tenancy.As for the supposed “proof of cleanliness,” I repeatedly requested it — and it was only when I insisted on legal action that the accusations were suddenly withdrawn.This kind of revisionist response appears aimed at justifying their delayed communication and poor service. Rather than take accountability, Colivys has chosen to respond with baseless personal attacks, which further demonstrates the lack of professionalism I experienced throughout my tenancy.Calling my experience “overly exaggerated” dismisses valid concerns about your staff’s behavior and poor organization. Your response is childish and only proves my point about the unprofessionalism I encountered.I stand by my review and hope you take this feedback seriously to improve your service.
