Best to go direct to the insurance companies. Engaging with Compare Club was supposed to save time and money, but it created so much unnecessary complexity and cost me both. After hours on the phone to find the best insurance option, and multiple interruptive check in calls in the weeks following, they failed to complete the transfer from my old health insurance to the new one. Despite reassurance that they would take care of it, I ended up being charged for two policies over the coming months. It took more time in branch and over the phone with both insurance companies to sort out the mess and negotiate refunds, as neither could make sense of the correspondence with the compare Club. The whole exercise was a huge waste of time and money, and I would have been better off just leaving things as they were instead of chasing a small decrease in my monthly premium that Compare Club was able to find.
