It took almost 2 hours to sort out the pass and get the emails (eventually, they went into spam). Getting the tickets are complicated, you have to download the app then add a validation code; which you can't copy & paste, then download the tickets, then activate the tickets, and then open them in the app every time you want to use them, and they don't always work! We ended up paying twice on the Naples underground as it was late and there wasn't a guard to check the ticket and let us through; the ticket only worked automatically the first time. If there hadn't been the restaurant offer (€25 off food bill voucher through The Fork App) and the airport bus tickets included it wouldn't have been worth it. It also took ages of research to find a suitable restaurant in an area we could get to using the travel pass, and having to screenshot menus and put through Google translate (in the restaurants they're usually in English too) and then find a suitable time slot available to book that fitted with transport times. However, the restaurant was a great find and we wouldn't have known about it without the app; The Fork App was simple to use so we did get the €25 off our bill and we have another €25 discount valid until Sept. If you can utilise all the offers that come with this you CAN save money, we broke even this time but if we can use the other voucher we'll have saved the full ticket price. However, it was a lot of extra hassle downloading everything and very stressful when it wouldn't work late at night. Transport is very cheap in Naples but this does save queuing to buy tickets. You can also 'tap on & tap off' at the turnstile with your phone or card but if you forget to tap off you'd be charged for their longest possible journey! If you set this up in advance of your holiday, while you have plenty of time (and not while waiting to get a train), you'll be fine as you can activate the tickets from the App once you're on holiday, and also do your research about where you'll be travelling to, to get the right pass for you - we took the 3 day City Pass as we'd extended our holiday so we could visit the local museums that we hadn't had time to see. They also included a €5 off taxi, a guide to attractions, bars & restaurants (I totally missed the guides until now and they would've been so useful)! another reason to book this before you go to get full value and do your research as I wasted too much time on holiday doing this. If you want to go to Pompeii and Herculaneum, you're better off buying 'The Naples Pass' and adding transport as this includes free entrance to these and loads more sites (Vesuvius not included but very cheap). We used this pass for our first 3 days and it's so much easier to use, but I couldn't add just the transport for our last 3 days and ended up with this app. Long review, but tried to give you all the info. Ps. They do offer a full refund from the start if you realise it's not suitable for you. (Not sure if any reviews say they've had it, though).
