I have just completed a six week course as an ADI working with nervous drivers. The course was excellent Kev and Tracey made the whole course really enjoyable, learnt loads, they’re enthusiasm for the subject is unbelievable and course materials in abundance I’m so glad I completed the course it’s made me a better instructor. Why did I need this? In short, an instructor had knocked my confidence with a heavy blow for their selfish reasons before my first booked test. It took me a while to be comfortable again with myself and in my own car. With my new instructor and their car, I was my true confident self again showing my capabilities.I signed up for the free 10 day course. There was enough information and variation to help with what I needed prior to my imminent test. I used the techniques regularly. (I also blocked everything out in my life - yes! - to do this whilst re-reading all the days.) After the 'top reasons for failing' day, I must admit I was nervous and I felt it in my driving lesson that day. So I said to myself "Ignore that - you know how to drive, you can do it, you are capable." Breathing techniques, being in the moment with all your senses and shoulder stance proved very useful both before and during the test as well as in the feedback stage. I was positive and calm on the day, not allowing any negativity to take a hold of me. This course was something I needed. It worked for me. Everything flowed for me. I am glad to say I passed on Friday (24th) June. So, thank you!
Yes thoroughly entertaining and some really impressive ways to stay calm when it comes to the big day. Just looking to see other parts of the confident drivers programme as I haven't finished fully yet. And because I have picked up some amazing techniques and more to come I'm feeling soo much more confident then ever.
