I never authorised them to act on my behalf, never knowingly signed any agreement, and never gave consent for my data to be used.Despite immediately disputing this in writing and asking them to stop, they:Continued contacting meClaimed to rely on an “audit trail” that lacked meaningful identity verificationCarried out (or admitted to carrying out) credit reference searches in my nameContinued processing my personal data after being told to stopI repeatedly requested they cease contact and delete my data. Instead of resolving the issue, they continued to email me with marketing-style updates and implied they would proceed unless I opted out — despite the fact I had never opted in.If you are contacted by this company and believe it is unauthorised, I strongly recommend:Formally raising a complaint in writing and stating it is a complaint under FCA DISP rulesDemanding they cease processing your data immediatelyKeeping copies of all correspondenceIf unresolved, escalating to the Financial Ombudsman Service and notifying the Financial Conduct AuthorityThis review reflects my personal experience and is shared to help others protect themselves and understand their rights.
