Car returned without delay, undamaged. HOWEVER, when leaning against the car to put our cases in the boot it moved forwards - it was apparent that the parking brake was not applied and the car was not left in gear. On the drive home I also realised that the door mirrors had been significantly adjusted from my normal setting, making changing lanes more tricky.
