For the conveyancing side of our house purchase, we did, for practical reasons, ignore a golden rule in this. We accepted the selling agents recommendation of Core Legal, meaning that, for that reason of practicality, we knowingly sacrificed the traditional practice of the purchase and sale side being completely independent of each other. In the event, we award a middle ranking 3 star here, simply because our experience with Core Legal was not awful enough to warrant a 1, and not brilliant enough to warrant a 5. Our impression is that this is not your traditional, personal attention, high street conveyancing solicitor. Rather, this feels more like mass production conveyancing. The disadvantage of which is that there is less of the one-to-one personal attention with an experienced solicitor who has many conveyancing miles on the clock. Whilst the advantage of which appears to be perhaps lower cost of fee. Perhaps as a direct consequence, we do have to say that there were some boo-boos along the way by Core Legal, none of which would normally be expected from the traditional high street solicitor. So, all in all, we feel a 3 star is fair. A special mention though for Zoe Walker, who only came in right at the end, but, who, impressed us greatly, with her ability to overcome hurdles, and get the job done,
