No chrome plated steel here! Solid stainless steel throughout. The Wooden element chosen was Oak, and again, no manufactured laminated substitute but genuine solid Oak!.the whole thing fitted together perfectly and looks outstanding.Conclusion - a little pricey but exudes quality and looks absolutely amazing.
