I had a very disappointing experience with Costco Travel and would not recommend them. We booked a resort stay through them in September 2023, but they gave us the wrong room. We missed out on the room we actually wanted for 3 of the 5 days of our trip. Instead of taking responsibility, they blamed the resort for the mix-up.On top of that, our car rental was a disaster. The car we received was dirty and had no windshield washer fluid. I had to wait two hours for them to clean it because they had no replacements available. When I finally got the car, I drove off on a rainy day, only to realize they still hadn’t refilled the windshield washer fluid—making highway driving dangerous.After the trip, I contacted Costco Travel, and they were apologetic, offering a 3-day Budget rental voucher as compensation. However, when I went to use it, I was shocked to find out it had already expired. Costco Travel refused to do anything to correct the situation despite multiple calls and emails. If they issue a voucher as compensation, they should at least ensure it’s valid for a reasonable amount of time.This experience showed a complete lack of accountability and customer care. I expected better from Costco, but after this, I will be booking my travel elsewhere.
