Had a Sunday lunch at Cote Chiswick in London with a friend to celebrate 2025, as we used to go to Cote for many, many celebrations before, or just for a treat; food used to be delicious, nice portions, and the staff very welcoming, all set up with a French feeling, which we loved. Immediately we noticed something has changed; no more French touch? Service was impeccable but the food shrinkage in portions was noticeable- the dauphinoise side was a baby portion, really. Starter of baguette and butter - bread was scarce for 2 people and cold - used to he served warm and the butter dish minuscule. Duck orange very small, my pork belly a super small cut and quite some space left on the dish, which looked not very nice ( used to be full and appetising). Dessert - had the cafe’ gourmand, that comes with a selection of mini desserts- well, I think it’s impossible to have them smaller than that! Coffee was good quality anyway. Overall, food is still very good but the portions are tiny for the price - and why change the French touch?? That’s was what set them apart. Not really feeling to go back anytime soon, sadly.
