This review is for the Basingstoke restaurant. The staff were lovely and made our visit - thank you for your amazing service. You get 5 starsThe food was OK and gets 2 stars. My chips were served tepid. Interestingly, exactly the same thing had happened at our previous visit and both times we had to ask for a fresh portion. My side salad had a lovely dressing on it, but, as at our previous visit, had some black (rotten) leaves mixed in which was a bit yukky.I didn't love the chocolate mousse which was supposed to be dark chocolate but had so little chocolate in it, that it was almost white in colour and completely tasteless. The rose wine was really lovely and I would definitely reorder this one if we went back again. My daughter had the sea bass which she really liked and then a cheese selection which she loved. To improve:1. Cook the chips at the same time as the other food you are serving on the table so they don't go cold.2. Don't serve salad leaves that are so old they've gone black and mushy.3. Don't describe a chocolate mousse as dark chocolate when it's got so little chocolate in it's actually a white colour. Just call it chocolate mousse and then you're not misleading customers.4. Give your staff who were working Saturday 26th April during the afternoon a bonus - they worked hard and made our visit! Thank you to everyone who was so helpful.
