Missed the deadline!!!I know this company has tons of rave reviews, but I gave Joseph all my information in FEBRUARY, and he did not complete my return in time. The IRS said in early October the deadlines stand, despite the shutdown. I'm now looking at how to file a delinquent FBAR without incurring a $5,000 penalty. Fortunately, as an expat, I do not have taxes to pay, so I will avoid paying extra there. I will have to find someone else to do my return, and file it late. UPDATE: After I submitted this review, I received an angry email from Joseph Sherman, telling me the FBAR had been submitted on time, and demanding I remove the review immediately. When I asked for proof of submission, he provided an e-file confirmation notice dated October 15th. The file metadata show it was actually created on October 19th, four days after the deadline.Next, I received an invoice, together with dire warnings as to what would happen if I did not pay immediately, for the FBAR and for the tax return.I then asked Joseph for proof they had filed for a (non-automatic) extension. He provided a pdf of the extension request, dated October 10th. The file metadata show the pdf was created on October 21st, six days after the request submission deadline. They finally produced the completed tax return on October 27th.
