I wanted to share my bad experience with cred.ai as a warning to others to not make the same "mistake" I did, and to give others a heads-up on what to expect with cred.ai.Long story short, cred.ai accepts mobile check deposits...in fact, they not only accept them, but it's the ONLY way they will accept checks (you cannot mail them the physical check-they will not accept that).A few weeks ago, I attempted to deposit my state tax refund check. I followed all instructions. After several days, I inquired, as the check had not been credited to my account. I was told that the check was declined because I didn't include the "for mobile deposit..." wording on the back. I looked, and it was there. The rep told me to redeposit the check, so I did.I again received no deposit credit or correspondence. So this time I called and was told that the check was declined due to "other". The rep said she'd escalate the matter to get an actual reason or guidance on how to proceed.Since I never heard back, again, or received credit for my check, again, I gave up and decided to open an account elsewhere for check deposits. I figured I'd just keep using cred.ai for how I normally use it (direct deposits, subscriptions, etc.)Today, I received a notice of account termination for attempting to deposit a check.I was very surprised by this. The account agreement and app both give clear guidance on depositing mobile checks, so what did I do wrong?Because there was no warning, I now have to scramble to redirect my direct deposits (and it's too late for one of them) and figure out what subscriptions I had attached to this account and fix those.I'm also anticipating a huge drop in my credit score.I'm really saddened by this. Cred.ai was great...until it wasn't.
