I used Credex for credentialing services and had a very disappointing experience. I was given inaccurate information about payer relationships, specifically regarding insurance umbrellas. I was told that certain plans, such as AvMed, were separate, when in reality they fall under larger umbrellas like Optum or Aetna. As a result, I paid multiple times for credentialing services that should have been included under those umbrella networks.
In addition, several enrollments were incomplete or missing, and I was not set up with the necessary portal access or EFT configurations to receive payments. This left me in a position where I was credentialed on paper but unable to access or receive funds.
There was a lack of transparency and follow-through when I requested clarification and documentation. I ultimately had to spend significant time correcting issues that should have been handled as part of the service.
I would strongly recommend verifying all payer umbrella relationships and deliverables in writing before using this service.
