Ordered their Yellow gold signature half dome band in 4.5mm on the 3rd of June with a website claimed delivery date of 9th of July. Waited till a week after the claimed delivery date and asked for an updated ETA, generic reply of still in production. Waited another week and asked again, this time got an excuse of they were moving and this had had an impact on lead times. Waited another week and asked again as still no ETA. This time saying I was not happy and the website should be updated to reflect realistic lead times, was told the issue was being dealt with (still no ETA ) A few days later got an update that package was shipped this was now the 9th of August! Kept an eye on the tracking but seemed to be stuck at customs in the UK. Got a letter from Parcel force informing me that there out standing duty, tax and a handling fee to pay of £127 due to the ring coming from Australia and the cost of ring being over £130 odd pounds. Messaged Howlet to inform them as I had paid shipping but was told that on the website it does say that additional charges will apply for international shipping but not on the order screen you need to look hard on the website to find this. They said they look into it and get back to me, still waiting. Only reason I paid the charges was the Wife got me the band for my 40th Birthday to replace my now tired looking original wedding ring otherwise I would have got a refund. Can’t fault the ring but they really need to work on customer service.
