STAY AWAY FROM CRUISE AMERICA!I was very excited to rent my 1st RV to take my family away. When I arrived to pick it up, the exterior was filthy. I was told that they couldn't find anyone to clean it. Not ideal, but it's just the exterior, right? As we were packing the RV the next morning, I noticed that the refrigerator wasn't working. I called and was asked to bring it back so they could look at it. Upon inspection, it seemed that the air was slightly cool coming out of it and I was told that it might just need more time to reach temp(it had been 16 hours) already. I put everything in coolers and bought some ice.Once we arrived at the site and connected to the power source, I hoped that would help. Unfortunately it did not. This ended up becoming a major inconvenience and added cost. The few frozen items I brought had to be discarded. Each morning I had to take everything out of the cooler, empty the water from melted ice, and re-ice. In the big picture not the end of the world. The final straw was as we were packing up to head home, I needed to empty the sewage tanks. I connected the hose provided to the waste area at the site. When I opened up the sewage tank, low and behold, the hose provided had a hole in it! Sewage spewed out the hole and covered my feet and ankles. Absolutely disgusting and never again would I ever rent from CruiseAmerica. Im only posting this due to my interaction with them after all of this.CruiseAmerica refuses to talk on the phone. They offered to repay me what I spent on ice for the coolers and cost of lost food, as well as refunding a $50 "prep fee". I was also offered a gift certificate. Why would I want a gift certificate after this experience?
