I used Curwens following the death of my mum to transfer the house into my name. From start to finish the service provided by them was terrible. I was given false information on a couple of occasions by being told that my application was still with the Land Registry office and was delayed due to Covid and so I contacted the Land Registry regarding this and was told that on two occasions the application had been returned to Curwens as they had not replied to questions asked. I was constantly having to chase Curwens and wasn’t getting anywhere. I was devastated by the loss of my mum and yet Curwens were not interested in the least. This matter should have taken a maximum of six months, including allowing for Covid delays and yet it took two years and four months. In my opinion, the service provided by Curwens was totally unacceptable and unprofessional and I wouldn’t recommend them to my worse enemy.
